Dr. Baese (Bay-see) is a Nashville native who founded the 12 South Dental Studio out of his vision for providing a unique dental experience to the Nashville community. He has completed extensive training and experience in cosmetic dentistry and began pursuing complex dental cases early in his career. His love for learning and his pursuit of excellence have led him to complete intensive training at Spear Education in Scottsdale, Arizona and at the Kois Center in Seattle, Washington. He is also a certified DuraThin Prepless Veneer clinician.
Dr. Baese is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Tennessee Dental Association (TDA), the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), and the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). He received an Award of Excellence from the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain as well as admission into the Dean Odontological Society, an Honorary Society for exceptional educational achievement.
He has also received recognition as the Phillip E. Isaacman Master Waxer for his attention to detail and ability to replicate natural dental anatomy. Dr. Baese graduated with a degree in Biology and a minor in Business from Lipscomb University before graduating from the University of Tennessee with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery.
He met his wife, Kristin, while serving the people of Guatemala and have since led several trips to the area to provide dental care to the rural areas. They have been married since 2009 and as of 2018 added twin boys to their family. Dr. Baese and his family enjoy traveling, backpacking and exploring the new restaurants of Nashville.

This place is more like a warm hug than a repair shop. One is always welcomed with open hearts, kind words, and comfort. Not the dental experience you're used to. You will leave feeling confident with the care you were provided.

We had three years of excellent dental care from Dr. Baese, Dr. Meltzer, and our hygienist Allison. Definitely worth the 40 minute drive from College Grove. Also, I recommend the botox services that are available. I have had issues with jaw pain in the past due to clenching in my sleep & while stressed, so I tried getting botox in my jaw area. Dr. Meltzer did a great job and I'm still not feeling jaw pain after 4.5 months.

I absolutely love 12 South dental! The team is always so professional and so kind. They do everything with excellence. I had a lot of work that was needed on my teeth and they were able to do it all with my interest and concerns taken into consideration. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted and welcomed by the staff. The whole team is amazing. I highly recommend going here!

Best service, friendliest faces, and safest environment you could find anywhere. The staff here at 12 South Dental are fantastic at what they do from top to bottom and care more about your dental health than their pockets. Huge shout out to Taylor and Kayla for always making sure I'm in great shape. Highly recommend this Studio for all your dental needs.

The staff here is incredible (big shoutout to Allison). Hands down the best dental office in Nashville. If you have any anxiety about going to the dentist, Dr. Baese and the rest of the staff make the experience comfortable and without stress. Can't recommend enough.

Nobody likes to go to the dentist, but it's necessary and 12 south dental studio makes the experience as pleasant as possible. Great atmosphere and design. Sweet people, good music is always playing and it's in the neighborhood! I highly recommend Dr. Baese and all of the staff at 12 south dental.

Dr. Baese and his team at 12 South Dental Studio provide expert dental care in a friendly, efficient, and scrupulously clean atmosphere. All the precautions have made me feel very safe. Over the years he and his team have corrected my previous dental work and kept my teeth and gums healthy. I especially like that we have worked together to create a prevention plan for optimal dental and heart health. Kayla is a skilled dental hygienist - thorough, knowledgeable, personable, and caring. You won't find a more helpful front desk staff. Taylor is accommodating, responsive, and welcoming. Michelle, the office manager, is so patient, and she persistently advocates for me each time my insurance changes. It is an all-around outstanding dental experience.

I love this place! Everyone from the front desk with Taylor to Alison ( dental hygienist) and Dr. Baese, are professional, kind, and very welcoming! They are also very transparent with pricing. The plans and the dental education that they provide are helpful! I would definitely recommend this place to everyone!

Dr. Baese and his staff are incredible. From the office admin staff to making scheduling an appointment easy, the dental hygienists doing a wonderful job and Dr. Baese's easy going professionalism and top notch work (might I add playing your favorite pandora music while he works on you) I cannot recommend this dental practice more. I have been to other dental practices here in Nashville and this is by far the best!

My experience at 12 South Dental Studio has been absolutely amazing. Usually, I am a nervous wreck with other dentists. I mentioned my anxiety regarding dental work one time and the office staff ensured I had the best experience ever. From my choice on the Pandora station, to all the other accommodations made, I had the BEST experience ever. So much so, that I took a quick nap while he was working. Who knew it could be like this? Best experience possible at the dentist!! All around 10/10 experience. Taylor was so wonderful making sure I was good to go upon arrival with my insurance and paperwork, she's so kind! Kayla was the best hygienist I've ever had, she's so personable, you can tell she really cares about your experience and comfort during your visit! She was so thorough and gentle! Allison is my absolute favorite, she's a ball of sunshine and I loved getting to see her! Dr. Baese was wonderful, I absolutely am making this my forever dental studio!!

I've been anxious about going to the dentist my entire life and have always put it off! Ever since starting at 12th South Dental Studio I have NEVER been nervous.
