Dr. Allan L Nahman graduated from New York University College of Dentistry in 1988 and was soon thereafter invited to join their academic staff as Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Comprehensive Dentistry.
Dr. Nahman is committed to dental excellence and education. A member of the American Dental Association, the Dental Society of the State of New York and the Third District Dental Association, Dr. Nahman pursues many additional hours of continuing education to be on the leading edge of current dental advancements.
Dr. Nahman is currently an Attending Dentist at St Peters Health Care Services in Albany NY, lecturing for the Dental Residency Program and serving as a mentor for new dentists entering the field. He is licensed by the North East Regional Board of Dental Examiners and the American Dental Associations Joint Commission on National Dental Examinations. He maintains a private practice in Albany, New York.
In his spare time, Dr. Nahmans interests are varied and eclectic as he is an avid gardener, gourmet chef, chocolatier (!) and playwright. He is also a baritone for the Berkshire Hillsmen Barbershop Chorus and in his spare moments teaches a workshop series on Semitic Linguistics. But his most important role is that of husband to his wife, Tovah.

Emma is not only a graduate of the Dental Hygiene Program from Hudson Valley Community College, she is also certified in Local Anesthesia and Nitrous Oxide Administration. She was awarded the prestigious Hu-Friedy Golden Scaler Award, the Academy Award of Dental Hygiene, which is awarded to, a student who has achieved high standing in clinical dental hygiene demonstrating clinical excellence. To her, patients and their well-being are of utmost importance. Being able to provide patient centered care in a warm and caring environment is what she strives for every day.
Our resident hot sauce aficionado, Jean is a professional miracle-worker, a dental insurance guru and puts the fun back into refundability. If anyone can problem solve a plan to finance your dream-smile, its Jean. Shes an avid crafter, enjoys camping and little league coaching and is super-mom of twin teenagers. Ask her about her grand-chickens.
Paige has been working in orthodontics and general dentistry for the last 9 years. Although fairly new to the practice she has been enjoying working by her superhero sidekicks side, creating beautiful smiles and making her patients feel like rock stars!
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her high school sweetheart and their two-year-old princess. She also likes to shop till she drops, craft till the sun comes up, get lost in romance novels, and binge-watch the hallmark channel.
Our anchor and CPO: Chief Positivity Officer, Diane [aka Linda] is one-part sunshine, one-part laughter with a sprinkle of lightening. She has an unparalleled passion for compassion. A craft fair fanatic, flea market maven, and gardener extraordinaire, she is highly credentialed and experienced in the fabulous world of Certified Dental Assisting, Diane is a soul-shining ray of light and the rainbow to someones cloud.
All hail the Floss Boss! The Dental Diva! The Princess of Prophylaxis! Saving the world from the scourge of gingivitis, Jamie believes that 80% of lifes problems can be solved by proper oral hygiene, the other 20% is on you. Scrapbooking also helps. She is our Director of Office Sunshine and our resident Tooth Fairy. She is sure to make your dental experience magical.
Malynda Malynda, the leader of the crew She led so many workers and had so much to do. And when the day was through, just like a mother hen She rallied everyone of them and did it all again. Thus dentist is recently deceased. He billed my ins. For a service never performed .now they will not pay my claim for the actual service avyear later with subsequent dentist. Very disappointed .

New patient at this practice and very satisfied. Their appointment follow up was excellent. Lots of parking and the offices were very clean and nice. Emma was my hygienist and I think she is the most thorough I've ever been to. Dr. Nahman was very pleasant, timely, and welcoming. Overall, very pleased to make this our neighborbood family dental.

I have been a patient of Dr. Nahman's for several years. I cannot imagine going to another dentist. Dr. Nahman is not only a top notch dentist, but is extremely caring. He is patient and provides understandable answers to any question. Everyone at 1021 Dental are the best. My heartfelt thanks.

Alyssa is awesome! So professional and pleasant to be around. I have sensitive teeth, my experience is painless, pleasant and she does a wonderful job every time! Dr Nahman is just as amazing. He has gone above and beyond for me on multiple occasions. They are top notch when it comes to health safety as well. I highly recommend this office! Thanks guys! :)

I just left 1021 Dental from my checkup and in addition to the excellent care and service the office provides, I wanted to let patients know that the entire dental office remains diligent in the fight against coronavirus (COVID-19). During these sometimes difficult and uncertain times, it is so good to know that Dr. Nahman and his staff (especially my dental hygienist Alyssa) take the health and safety of their patients so seriously and it is their top priority. The precautions they've taken and the protections they've put in place make 1021 Dental a very safe place to receive dental care. Their facility maintains strict standards and follows the guidance from the Centers for Disease Control. They've put into place the necessary precautions to ensure a safe environment for all involved, and I felt extremely safe during my visit. As a first responder I can say with certainty that 1021 Dentil is well-equipped to handle any dental related concern you may have. Thank you Dr. Nahman and your entire staff for doing such a fantastic job and keeping us all healthy and safe.

Absolutely wonderful staff! Paige was incredibly helpful slotting me in for an appointment the day of since I had tooth pain and throughout the day continued to help by sending me texts of open slots for additional services. Alyssa was absolutely amazing in her work cleaning and making sure my concerns were addressed. And Doctor Nahman was fantastic, checking up on me and giving me guidance on my issue. Everyone here is so incredibly friendly, kind and they genuinely care about you. I highly recommend this office for anyone in the Capital District. Also if anyone is concerned, the site is very safe with Covid precautions. Thank you Dr. Nahman, Alyssa, Paige and staff for such a wonderful experience and your service to us all.

I woke up with a horrible tooth pain. I looked up Dentist in my area and seen Dr.Allan website. I answered the questions and took a picture of the tooth and sent it. Not even a min later I got a call and this is on a Saturday evening. and I would like to add I am not a patient of his iwas looking to become one. Dr Nahman was only worried about helping me and sent a scrip for Antibiotics over to my pharmacy. He also told me he wants to see me monday that they r going to get me in. I have never had a Dentist be this caring and just want to help me. Especially on a saturday and being new. If u ever had a tooth ache on the weekend u know how much it means to get ahold of someone that can help.so grateful I found this Dentist.

Dr. Nahman is awesome. I just finished several months of a dental issue and he has been nothing short of completely supportive, professional, kind, friendly and above all patient with everything that needed to be done. I had been a patient in that office for many years when Dr. Barcley retired and I was very nervous about the change. I am so pleased and grateful to have Dr. Nahman. Dr. Barclay was wonderful and now Dr. Nahman has filled his shoes perfectly. I highly recommend him to anyone.

Dr Nahman & the entire office staff have done and are doing incredible work. Over the past 7 years I've been impressed w/ 1021 Dental but am even more appreciative of the work they do now during Covid-19 times. They are true professionals and are doing the right thing for us. I admit, I don't love or look forward to going to the dentist but I always do end up enjoying my time spent with Dr Nahman. It is a pleasure and I thank the office for being top notch during these tough times. If you're afraid to go to the dentist, you don't have to be here. They are good and fun people.
