While completing his bachelors degree in biology at the University of California, Los Angeles, Dr. Sooferis exceptional academic performance helped him earn the deans scholarship and entry into UCLAs School of Dentistry, one of the countrys leading dental schools. He hasnt stopped learning since earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree there.
Today, Dr. Sooferi specializes in general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, and dental pain. He regularly takes classes to expand his expertise. This has helped him stay on top of the latest innovations in cosmetic dentistry and envisaging orthodontics such as invisible braces.
Dr. Sooferi is dedicated to perfecting his dental skills and providing the best possible care to his community. Hes a member of the Los Angeles Dental Society and speaks several languages, including English, Spanish, Farsi, and Armenian.
Dr. Leopold has been a resident of the Conejo Valley since 1975. His family moved to Thousand Oaks from the South Bay area when he was 12 years old. He attended Los Cerritos Middle School, and is a 1981 graduate of Thousand Oaks High School. He went to Moorpark College for 2 years, and then completed is Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at California Lutheran University in 1992. He went on to The University of Southern California School of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1996.
After graduating from dental school, he couldnt imagine a better place to begin his practice than where he grew up. He decided to start his own practice from the ground up, and for 18 years hes been practicing dentistry in the Conejo Valley.
Not only does he practice in Thousand Oaks, he also chose to live and raise his own family here. He is married to his beautiful wife Diana, and has 3 children: Kelly, his son 16, and his two daughters Karissa 13, and Fallon 8.
Dr. Leopold and his family have many interests which include camping, deep sea fishing, going to the beach, and enjoying family and friends. His childrens activities keep his and Dianas lives quite busy. Kelly is a Ventura County Sheriffs Explorer and does Karate. Fallon is into gymnastics and dance, while Karissa is into art and her school chorus.
Dr. Leopold has a great affinity for the Conejo Valley and the people who live here. Having grown up in Thousand Oaks, he is quite connected to the lifestyle and the activities that make our town so special. Sheila has been working as a dental assistant with Dr. Leopold for over 12 years. She is a licensed X-Ray technician and is CPR and First Aid Certified. Her compassion and care for our patients is outstanding, and is always her first priority. Prior to her work with Dr. Leopold, Sheila worked in the Veterinarian field as a technician for 15 years. Her love of animals continues today. Sheila has been married for 18 years and has three daughters.
Teri has been in the dental field since 1985 and with Dr. Leopold for 18 years. She is also certified in CPR and First Aid. She prides herself in making all of our patients feel comfortable and special. Teri has two grown sons, five grandchildren and one great grandchild. Our patients love Teri and always ask to come in when she is here!
Becky began her career in the dental healthcare field after graduating at the top of her hygiene class in 1981. She has been a valuable member of Dr. Leopolds staff for over ten years. A native of Southern California, Becky currently resides in Thousand Oaks with her husband, Jerry and son, Tanner. Beckys goal is to create a caring and trusting relationship with her patients while providing expert dental care. She enjoys learning about her patients and their families. Becky also likes being an integral part of an office staff dedicated to creating the best dental experience possible. In her free time, Becky enjoys going to the gym, creating jewelry and taking care of her pet chinchilla and two cats.

Wasn't too happy with my cleaning and the Dr. didn't even check the pockets in my gums between my teeth. Normally, other dentists check every single one and give it a number which shows how my gums are doing. He just checked my teeth for about 2 seconds. Everyone was nice though.

Once again, I had a Great experience at 1000 Oaks Dental! Everyone is so friendly and attentive, and BECKY always provides such an in-depth cleaning: my teeth are sparkling! I'm so glad that I found this wonderful dental office, and very grateful that they accept my HMO Insurance!

I recently came to this dentist because of all the 5 star reviews! The doc did a FABULOUS job on a crown I needed-- once he placed the new crown in place. my upper teeth pain (and the pain in that tooth) vanished. He does stellar work-- I can see why all the 5 star reviews. Then I met the dental hygienist today (Betsy?) who was AMAZING... my gums are quite sensitive w cleanings as I've gotten older (!) and she did a thorough, excellent job while also being both aware of the sensitivities and so personable that it put me completely at ease. Grateful thanks! This practice is professional and top-notch in every way. I've had to have quite a few root canals and dental procedures over the years, so I can endorse this office with total confidence and I'm so grateful to have found my new local dentist.

The absolute BEST dentist out there! I am not exaggerating- I have had TONS of dental work done (sadly) and have been absolutely traumatized! I am highly skeptical of any dentist. Dr. Leopold has actually gained my trust (which does NOT come easy concerning dental work). He is not only warm and genuinely cares about your concerns, but he is patient (will explain things to you thoroughly so you're not just letting someone drill away your teeth with blind confidence), he is incredibly knowledgeable and skilled. In fact, I believe he actually teaches dental students specific techniques at a University. But I know that fact only goes so far... so take it from a patient of his- he does an amazing job! Just got 6 permanent crown placed today (yes, I said 6... I told you I have dental issues) and I couldn't be happier (great news- the lab they use makes beautiful crowns). Dr. Leopold takes his time perfecting his work. It doesn't feel like this is just a job to him. You know how so many dentists seem cold and like they just can't wait to collect your money and get you out of the chair?! Yeah... that is NOT this dentist! Worth mentioning also is their office manager- Sheila. So kind, so helpful, also very knowledgeable about insurance, payment plans, etc. She works very hard to get you the best possible price. They took me in when they were technically no longer accepting my insurance and I came to them crying from a traumatic experience at a different dental office. They really have just been so wonderful. I will be coming to this office for as long as they are here! I recommend them a 1000 times over! 1000 Oaks Dental is THE BEST! (Don't ever confuse this office with Thousand Oaks Dental Group- that office is HORRIBLE! And is in no way connected to this office).
