About Dr. Jacoby
Dr. Jacoby was born and raised in Southern California where he attended California State University at Northridge (C.S.U.N.) graduating in 1983, with honors, and earning a Bachelors degree in both Chemistry and Biology.
He then attended the University of California at Los Angeles (U.C.L.A.) School of Dentistry and received his D.D.S. degree in 1987.
Dr. Jacoby then returned to Los Angeles and practiced General Dentistry for one year.
He was accepted into the 2-year Periodontics Residency program at Baylor University, College of Dentistry, in Dallas, Texas where he graduated and received his Certificate in Periodontics and a Masters Degree in Oral Biology in 1991. During this Residency Dr. Jacoby performed extensive research in the dental sciences leading to several publications of his work in peer-reviewed international scientific journals, as well as receiving two years of periodontal surgery and implant training.
Upon graduation he returned to California and established a private Periodontics specialty practice in Laguna Hills, California.
In 1998 Dr. Jacoby moved to the Big Island of Hawaii.
Dr. Jacoby is the inventor and patent holder of several specialized instruments and methods used in Periodontics.
