Helping our patients maintain a healthy mouth and smile is the main goal of general dentistry.

We prefer to provide more minor, preventive care than to see patients suffer with more intensive treatments from a problem that was not managed in time.

When you are new to our office, we put in the effort to provide you with a positive and comforting experience. Once you have been with us for a while, you can continue to expect the highest level of service.

Our goal is to provide you with the best oral health care in the Claremont, NC area. We start with a family friendly staff that is willing to get to know you and our dentist, Dr. Gordon, is very knowledgeable in all areas of dentistry. Currently Claremont Family Dentistry is accepting new patients and walk-ins. We are in network with Delta Dental, but we also accept most other insurance, including Medicaid. We have a couple of other options if you do not have insurance such as CareCredit and pre-pay financing. CareCredit is like a credit card you have to apply for and prepay financing is where you will start making payments up-front and when you have the procedure paid for, then you can have the work completed by our trusted Claremont dentists.

Meet Our Doctor

Michael Gordon, DDS

Dr. Michael J. Gordon, Jr is a North Carolina native. Dr. Gordon graduated high school in Fayetteville, NC then attended the United States Naval Academy where he earned an Aerospace Engineering Bachelor of Science degree while also completing his pre-dental courses. After fulfilling his service to the U. S. Navy, Dr. Gordon earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.

I have never been a fan of the dentist, but after my experience with Dr. Gordon, I no longer dread going. This office was helpful and efficient with my predicament, and Dr. Gordon made the visit painless while correcting two issues. Additionally, while other dentists recommended expensive procedures for one tooth, he chose an alternative solution that had more favorable results and saved me hundreds of dollars.
