I am a Mosinee native and have returned to my hometown to a start a practice and bring my wife and children closer to family. After graduating from the University of MN School of Dentistry, I spent four years working in the US Navy, mostly in Okinawa, Japan. Upon my return to the United States, I practiced dentistry in Minnesota and more recently at Cedar Creek Dental (2002-2007) in Kronenwetter.

I was born in Wisconsin and raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I fell in love with Wisconsin while completing my dental education in Milwaukee. You'll find me and my wife, Jaida kayaking with our dog in the summer and skiing in the winter. We also enjoy exploring new towns and cities and finding great places to eat! We love hiking while the leaves change and grilling during Packer/Vikings games. (Unfortunately, Jaida is a Vikings fan).

Laser dentistry is one of the latest advancements in dental technology. The lasers are used to safely remove soft tissue, such as excess gum tissue. The soft tissue laser can also be employed to destroy bacteria in gum pockets, preventing infection and allowing the tissue to return to a healthy state.
The benefit of laser dentistry is that it minimizes pain most often associated with dental procedures, meaning more comfort for our patients. It also enables us to treat our patients with extreme accuracy, eliminating the need for most stitches.
Thanks to advances in dental technology, crowns no longer have to be a weeks-long process. CAD/CAM technology makes it possible to create and place a crown in one day.
We use an intraoral scanner inside the mouth to take a digital scan of a tooth that has been prepared to receive a crown. The data from the scan is then used to create precise and custom crowns, inlays and onlays in one single visit.
If you are new to our practice you will most likely be scheduled for a Comprehensive Exam with one of our doctors. This appointment will allow you extensive time directly with one of our dentists so you can get to know them, ask questions, learn his dental philosophy and address your specific needs.
'Why do I have to see the Doctor first? I just need a cleaning.' This is a common question that we receive from our new patients.
The reasons we schedule you with a Doctor first is:
1. "Cleaning" your teeth is what you do at home with your own toothbrush and toothpaste. At a dental office, you receive "Hygiene Therapy". This is more involved than "just a cleaning". We customize each hygiene appointment to our individual patient needs which is determined by a Doctor.
2. The time involved for "hygiene therapy" can vary anywhere from 50 minutes to 2 hours. We can't determine what type of appointment you will need over the phone.
