Ryan P. Estes
DMD, MS
Dr. Estes is excited to be a part of the team at Southern Roots in Florence and Highland Heights, Kentucky. He returned home to Kentucky in 2014 after three years working with a highly recognized national speaker and clinician regarding dental implants and periodontics in North Carolina.
After growing up in Henderson, Kentucky, Dr. Estes completed his undergraduate education at Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky before obtaining his Doctorate of Dental Medicine at the University Of Kentucky College Of Dentistry. He was accepted and completed a three year residency program in Periodontics and Dental Implantology at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry Department of Periodontology.

Allison (Marlow) Disney
DDS, MSD
Dr. Disney is thrilled to lead the team at Southern Roots in Northern Kentucky. She returned back to the “South” to practice after spending seven years in Indianapolis, Indiana.
After growing up in Dothan, Alabama, Dr. Disney completed her undergraduate education at Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama before completing a Doctorate of Dental Surgery and a three-year residency program in Periodontics and Dental Implantology at Indiana University School of Dentistry. This residency consisted of advanced training in periodontal disease, gum tissue grafting, esthetic gum shaping, dental implants, advanced bone grafting for dental implants and periodontal disease, management of medically compromised patients, diagnosis and treatment of oral pathology, and team-approach techniques between general dentists, dental specialists, and medical physicians for a comprehensive dental treatment.

Srividya Prabhu
DMD, MSD
Dr.Prabhu grew up in Iowa and Illinois, where she completed her undergraduate degree at Augustana College. Dr.Prabhu received her Doctorate in Dental Medicine at Case Western Reserve University. She then completed her specialty training in periodontics and advanced implantology at Indiana University before joining the team at Southern Roots Periodontics and Dental Implant Specialists.
Dr.Prabhu has treated patients of all ages and types of needs. She provides a gentle touch and takes the time to listen to and understand the concerns, challenges and needs of her patients. Her calm, receptive nature allows her to build fulfilling relationships with her patients. She works with them to create individualized therapies and conservative treatment plans that will support them on their path to dental health and have a smile they can feel great about.

Our Story
Welcome Y’all!
We are Southern Roots Periodontics and Implant Specialists, a periodontal specialty office in Florence Kentucky that loves to learn, collaborate, and help patients obtain their best oral health. Our mission is to provide the highest standard of periodontal care in our community.
Our doors first opened in July 2014 when Dr. Estes purchased the practice after returning home to Kentucky from practicing in North Carolina. Over the years, the practice continued to grow. In 2017, an additional practice was purchased allowing us to expand from a small three patient room office into the current facility on Mall Road in Florence. With this growth came many more patients needing treatment. As a result, Dr. Disney and several other team members joined the practice in 2017 to support the growth and the high standards that Dr. Estes has established.
Our name, Southern Roots, is a nod to our southern upbringing. With Dr. Estes being raised in Kentucky, and Dr. Disney in Alabama, we strive to provide southern hospitality in a caring, friendly, and non-judgmental environment leading to optimal patient outcomes.
