Meet Our Doctors
Bedford Dental Care is fortunate to have a team of two talented, caring doctors to lead the way in our practice. As a married couple, Dr. Diego Herrera and Dr. Sara Katz form an excellent team and bring their unique talents to the practice in order to effectively serve all patients.
Dr. Diego Herrera
Originally from Astoria, Queens, Dr. Herrera has been around dentistry from a young age. His mother was a practicing dentist and he grew up seeing quality dental care firsthand. His journey took him to Manhattan College, and then to the Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine. After earning his DDS degree, Dr. Herrera soon had a desire to own and operate his own practice. That opportunity became available at Bedford Dental Care and he and Dr. Katz acquired the business to bring their dream to life.
Dr. Sara Katz
Dr. Katz grew up with dentistry as an integral part of her life. Her father was a dentist who owned his own practice, and she saw first-hand how rewarding the work could be. When she was sure that dentistry was the right path for her, Dr. Katz completed undergraduate studies at Cornell University before going on to the Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine. There, she not only received an outstanding education, including electives in both esthetics and ethics, but she also met Dr. Herrera, and the rest is history.
